This August there are two walks planned. On Saturday 4th there will be a walk leaving St Galls lane at 9.30 am. This walk will proceed to the Bog Meadows, before going through the Falls Park, towards the top of the Whiterock road, before progressing up the Mountain Looney towards the Black Mountain. In the past the organisers had interesting speakers at each stop who would explain the history of the area and future planned work. most people find this a very interesting walk
On Sunday 12th August, Eamonn Maguire will lead his customary Feile walk around Divis and Black Mountain. The walk will start from the Divis / Black Mountain car park around 10am. Eamonn is a very interesting character and he has an in depth knowledge of the Belfast Hills
Any walkers planning to go on any of these walks should ensure that they have the necessary equipment, stout shoes or boots, a waterproof coat and a packed lunch
