Quick update
Eileen & Karen have booked a B&B in Carlingford for Saturday evening, they have a spare room if anyone is interested???
The two Liam’s Parker & Kelly have kindly driven down to Carlingford to recce the area, they report that there are some roadworks near the carpark & that the tourist office has temporarily moved, however, this shouldn’t affect us. They reckon that it takes roughly an hour to drive down from Sprucefield so give yourselves a bit time

Hi Folks, now that the clocks have moved forward & the days have gotten longer we can investigate some walks further away from home
When – our first walk of the Spring will be to the Cooley Mountains in Carlingford, on 6th April
Meetup – We will meet in the main car-park in Carlingford at 10 am and set off from there, we estimate the walk will take about five hours including a stop for lunch
Walk Details – We hope to begin in the village and take a walk firstly through the forest and then climbing to the top of the Cooley Mountain from where there are the most spectacular views of the surrounding area. We will return a different way so the walk will be circular and begin and end in the car-park in Carlingford.
Car Sharing – folks we should try to car share wherever possible, if anyone wants a lift or can offer a lift can they let us know at glenwalkers@gmail.com
