See below a copy of the email sent earlier this month. Seems like one or two of you didn’t realise that we need numbers back by Hallowen. Could you please let me know if you firmly intend to attend before the end of the month?

It’s incredibly early but there was general agreement among the walkers on Sunday that it was time to organise the Christmas dinner.
So we have decided upon a date, — December 3rd, it’s a Saturday and we are going to return to Shed on the Ormeau Rd. We ate there one year before and everyone enjoyed the food. They are serving a Christmas Menu which is priced at £31 for two courses, £38 for three. Service charge is optional.. We have booked for fifteen people and will need to firm up numbers by the end of the month.
There are plenty of places for a drink afterwards for those who want to party on
We will organise a walk for Saturday afternoon, allowing enough time for participants to get home and change for the evening.
We want to know, by Halloween, whether you firmly intend to come to the dinner. At the end of the month when we have a firm number, we will get back to the restaurant and confirm the booking.
The evening will not have the fantastic hospitality of Dan and Rita’s Place or Kieran’s brilliant organisation of Pizzas but it will be a lot warmer than last year.
