We wanted to take this opportunity to wish all our walkers a very Merry Christmas
To help walk off the Christmas turkey and pudding, we are going to have a 2-3 hour walk on Saturday 28th December, meet up at 10.30 at Malone House
For our January walk on Sunday 5th January, we decided to take one of our regular walks, from Dundrum to Newcastle and back. This walk goes largely along the beach, and through Murlough Nature Reserve so there should be stunning views of the Mournes
We will meet up at 9.50 for a 10.00 am start at the Dundrum public car park opposite the Church. There are three car parks on your left, the first car park is usually the scene of a large car boot sale. The second one is a private one for the church and the last one is the public car park. This third car park is the one in which we shall meet up.
We plan to leave our cars parked at Dundrum, and walk to Newcastle, where we will have lunch, before returning to Dundrum to pick up our cars.
We have checked the tide timetable, there is a low tide due around 8.30 am with a high tide at three o’clock, so we shouldn’t get our feet wet.
