Coastal Walk – Sunday 7th February

For our February walk we have decided to walk part of the County Down coastline from Ballyhornan to Ardglass, this should offer us wonderful scenery and because we will be walking along the coast, we shouldn’t be affected by ice or snow

Meet-up :- We aim to meet up at the carpark in Ballyhornan, which is situated on the Killard Rd in the village. We will walk the coastal path towards Ardglass, get lunch and return to get coffee or something stronger for non drivers in the bar in Ballyhornan.

Time:- Because Ballyhornan is a good hour from Belfast, (it is about seven miles beyond Downpatrick) we are going to meet up at a slightly later time of 10.30am.

Walk Duration:- The walk will take around four hours depending upon where we have lunch but the scenery is wonderful so going out and returning feels like very different walks.

Please Note, It could be very muddy so boots and gaiters are definitely recommended.

If anyone needs a lift or can offer a lift please contact us. If any new walkers want to come along, they will be most welcome
