July’s walk will be held on 2nd July and it will be to the Cooley mountains near Carlingford, famed by the legendary Setanta / Cu Chulainn
Meetup – We will meet in the main car-park in Carlingford on Sunday 2nd July at 10.00 am, we estimate the walk will take about five hours including a stop for lunch
Walk Details – We will begin in the village and take a walk firstly through the forest before climbing to the top of the Cooley Mountain from where there are the most spectacular views of the surrounding area. We will return a different way via the Famine village so the walk will be circular and begin and end in the car-park in Carlingford.
