Happy New Year to you all
For our first walk of 2017 we are are going on a coastal walk from Bangor to Holywood along the North Down coastal path. This will be a linear walk, i.e. one way. We thought it would be nice to take the train to Bangor and to walk back towards Holywood.
We shall meet at the train station at Bangor at 10.15 on Sunday 8th January. The easiest way to get there is to take the train from Belfast or Holywood, where you can park your car
The train time are
- Lisburn 9.08
- Dunmurry 9.18
- Finaghy 9.21
- Balmoral 9.23
- Belfast Central 9.40
- Holywood 9.53
The trains back from Holywood are at 47 minutes past the hour, so there are trains at 15.47, 16.47 and so on until later in the evening.

If anyone wants to drive then go to Holywood where there is normally plenty of parking at the station on a Sunday and get the same train which stops there at 9.53.
We would plan to have refreshments in the cafe at Crawfordsburn Country Park and finish in the Dirty Duck with a drink and some people may stay for a meal.
