Some of us who are not away next week thought that we might try a short evening walk next Thursday 14th July, a walk with a bowl of soup at the end.
Date:- 14th July
Time:- 6pm
Place:- Drumbeg Car Park (opposite the Drumbeg Parish Church), Upper Malone Rd
Walk Details:- We will walk around the periphery of Lady Dixon Park and end up returning to the cars through the International Rose Trials. Rose Week is the following week and the roses should be near their best. We recommend stout shoes or boots in case the paths get muddy and the grass wet.
Timing:- The walk should take about an hour and a half, with the last half hour walking through the rose gardens. We then intend to adjourn to Bob Stewart’s pub restaurant and get some chowder.
If I know how many are coming I will try to book a table for us all.
