Antrim Coast Walk – 4th September
Our September walk will be along the north Antrim coast. Our walk will follow last years very successful route from Portballintrae towards Ballintoy harbour – approximately 19 km (12 miles) mostly on flat terrain. Please note the slightly later start time, this is because it will take approx 1 hour 30 min to reach Portballintrae from Belfast
Meet-up :- 10.15-10.30 am at the council car park in Portballintrae (near the golf course) there are toilets & a shop there, which hopefully will be open. The car park is free to use unlike the Giants Causeways which is a tad expensive
Walk Details :- we intend to walk along the coast with the westerly winds on our back to help us along. We will walk to Ballintoy harbour where we will have left one car which will ferry the drivers back to Portballintrae
Important:- to facilitate this walk we would need someone to leave their car at Ballintoy harbour and someone to transport the driver to the starting point at Portballintrae, so anyone would like to volunteer please let us know.
Also remember that we should try to car sharing as much as possible
