Aprils walk will be to Slieve Gullion in south Armagh
We will meet-up at the main car park of the visitors centre at Slieve Gullion at 10:00am. There are toilets facilities etc available in the main visitor centre which should be open again
The walk itself will be around 4.5 hours with a walk thought the forest before a walk up a fairly steep hill to the passage tomb where we will have lunch before descending along a rocky path so good shoes would be required as well as appropriate clothes
We shall return to the lovely courtyard of the visitors centre after the walk for some après walk drinks or if this is closed we can decide on another venue on the day
The Ring of Gullion offers stunning views of the south Armagh countryside and is steeped in history and legends, including the passage tomb and Calliagh Berra’s lake at its summit
So meet-up at 10.00am at the main car park, hope to see you all there
