Hi Folks
As the first Sunday in May is a bank holiday and there are lots of people participating in the marathon we have decided to put our May walk back a week, so May’s Walk will be on the 10th May. It’s a walk that some of us enjoyed last June and hope to see the bluebells in bloom this year at Sallagh Braes. We will climb Agnew’s Hill and then on to the Sallagh Braes, see photograph below.
Walk Details – We are going to walk a section of the Antrim Hills Way from Ballyboley Forest which is close to Larne
Unfortunately we can’t find a suitable linear route so we are going to walk a circular route instead, i.e., out and back

Meeting Point – Meetup at 10.00 am at Ballyboley Forest Park, at the lay-by on the left of the A36, Shane’s Hill Road
Directions – drive along the M2 to Sandynowles Roundabout, then drive towards Larne (A8) for about 18 miles until a left turn, the A36, signposted to Ballymena. This is Shanes Hill Rd.
Then after about four miles park at the large lay-by on the left.
There are currently a lot of roadworks on the Larne Road so keep an eye out for the A36 about 5 or six miles from Larne
Car Sharing – if anyone would like to offer a car share or would like a lift can they email glenwalkers@gmail.com
