Folks, as we swelter in our current heatwave, we think that it would neither be practical or safe to attempt Slieve Gullion or indeed any hills
Instead we are proposing a walk around Lagan Meadows and Beaver. The bulk of this walk will be on quiet paths away from the main towpath and these will hopefully will provide some shade and nice scenery
We intend to meet up at the car park in Stranmillis at 10.00am. This car park is near the Belfast Boat / Tennis club and near the Cutterswharf bar
