For our February walk we thought we would walk from Bangor to Holywood, The flat terrain and good views of Belfast Lough and the Belfast Hills, make this an excellent winter walk.
We shall meet at Bangor train station at 10.15, this is the time that the 9.07 train from Lisburn arrives at Bangor station. It may be necessary to change at Great Victoria Street station
On previous walks, some people chose to drive to Holywood Station and board the train there, while others preferred to get the train from their nearest station to Bangor and take the train home from Holywood.
NI Railway has a Sunday Day Tracker fare, for £8 which allows for unlimited travel on all trains

We would plan to stop for lunch at the Crawfordsburn Country Park, take a walk around the waterfall, and maybe have some coffee or scones in the cafe. We intend to finish the walk with a stop in the Dirty Duck pub in Holywood before getting the train back. The trains are approx 45 past the hour eg, 15.45, 16.45 etc
