Thanks to Paula who checked out the walk for us yesterday we can con confirm that we are going to walk up Slieve Croob on Sunday 6th June @10.00 am
The walk begins in a small village, Finnis, about half an hour from Sprucefield.
We think the best arrangements are to meet at Finnis at 10.00 am.
Walkni lists the walk as a circular route but we think it best to go out and back (as well as up and down) on the Drin Road. There is a fair amount of the walk on a quiet road, then a concrete lane, followed by good turf, and then some boggy ground before another short track to the summit.
The walk should last about four hours with great views at the summit, where we will get lunch.
